We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced leader to join our team to help drive scale in our commerce business and develop a merchandising organization to fuel future growth for Perpay.  This role will play a key role in  developing and maintaining our product assortment strategy, establishing and maintaining strategic vendor partnerships, while continually delivering new quality brands and products for our customers.

  • You have 8+ years of professional merchandising/buying experience




  • Under the supervision of the Chief Commerce Officer, independently drives sales through the development and execution of the Perpay assortment strategy via development of product, brand, manufacturer and vendor relationships
  • Leverages customer data, market trends and previous experience to identify brands and products that best serve our customer’s needs
  • Negotiate, build and source compelling product assortments at the best value
  • Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery/ payment terms)
  • Build an effective merchandising team through the identification and development of talent, establishment and nurturing of key internal relationships, and effective communication of key goals and objectives to relevant team members.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, focusing on vendor management and brand acquisition and development
  • Partner with members of Commerce and Marketing teams to ensure appropriate representation and promotion of product assortments
  • Support Commerce and Marketing teams in creating and executing against promotion, content and marketing plans
  • Deliver on monthly financial goals
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance downtrends
  • Build and evolve reporting framework to capture all critical metrics and insights, while ensuring all trends to plan are communicated effectively
  • Assist in vetting new opportunities, tactics, and partnerships to achieve scale and growth
  • Establish a forecast for each merchandise category and make recommendations on allocation and goals
  • Develop, coach and mentor their team – demonstrates an invested interest in their team’s career growth
  • Actively demonstrates managerial courage, and is able to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Identifies areas of opportunity, is solution focused and appropriately communicates to senior leadership
