Position Overview

This role will work with Penn Mutual Advisers and Field Leaders in the Career Agency System that are Leap agencies, as well as our Independent advisers, to build awareness and knowledge of our Leap Sales Tool and methodology in order to drive sales growth. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and expertise on the Leap philosophy and products.  This person will provide Advisers and Field Leaders with structured, pro-active training and sales support.


  • Works closely with the Leap Team and Field Leaders to devise product / concept training requirements, strategies and curricula
  • Creates and delivers in-person training, webinars, conference calls and 1-1 instruction to promote Leap
  • Serve as an expert guest speaker / subject matter expert for meetings, conferences and third party events as needed
  • Develops expert knowledge and proficiency in utilizing Leap tools and resources, e.g., concepts, calculators, money moves
  • Coordinates and organizes and align all Leap trainers to keep training consistent across the company
  • Supports Leap marketing and sales initiatives as needed
  • Gathers and reports participant feedback from training delivery. Measure and report changes in Adviser activity / production post training
  • Provides insights from the field to the President of Leap regarding where to improve (e.g., Product, Training, Online Content, etc.)
  • Aids in the assessment and selection of local Field Trainer positions in our Career Agency System as needed.
  • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to travel extensively (75% of the time)
  • Strong platform delivery skills – In-person, live online, phone
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Leap online products
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills – oral, written and interpersonal
  • Able to aggregate and present product information and concepts for maximum learner retention
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment


  • 5-10 years of experience using Leap
  • 3-5 years of experience offering training to advisors
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong relationships with Advisers and Field Leaders

 Education/Licenses/Professional Designations

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Front-end developers: React, NodeJS, Elastic Search
  • Junior developers: Solid Java skills, basic and associated like Spring; XML experience; some experience with API (3-5 years)
