Penn Interactive (PI) is an interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. As the digital arm to Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., ), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., we are poised for fast-paced growth in the sports betting and online casino space and have partnered with Barstool Sports to launch an online sportsbook.

 

Formed from the recent acquisition of HitPoint Studios, Penn Game Studios has more than 10 years of experience in the video game industry.  We’re a team of about 30, comprised of highly-skilled designers, artists and engineers with a passion for creating and enabling new play patterns through innovative design and technology.

 

This role is responsible for ensuring that all Penn Game Studios (PGS) Live Casino content aligns to Penn Interactive’s overall strategic goals and provides a fun and engaging experience that exceeds our players’ expectations. This role will be responsible for ensuring a consistent experience across our custom Live Casino Studios, particularly for our Barstool-branded studios. This role will also drive the relationship between PGS, our Live Casino Studios, and other functions within the organization (Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Product, etc.). This role will nurture the relationship with any third-party Live Dealer Studio providers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship with Live Casino Studio content providers, ensuring an exceptional experience that is consistent with what players expect from Penn Game Studios.
  • Work with dealers and management directly to ensure that our branding is consistent and on-message across all Live Casino games and jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to run Barstool-centric events and promotions.
  • Manage the deployment of Live Dealer into new jurisdictions.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Live Casino products. Assist PGS Leadership and Live Casino third parties with the exploration of new features and games.
  • Work with Live Casino operators and Penn Interactive stakeholders to optimize studio and staff capacity.
  • Coordinate with internal compliance team and studio providers to ensure the compliance of Live Casino Studio games, events, and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the iGaming industry, particularly with regards to Live Casino.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2-3 years of product / project experience, with at least one major project pushed live.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Strong communication skills. The ability to work with multiple teams, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Willingness to travel as required to visit with Live Casino Studios in various jurisdictions.
  • Experience creating, owning, and maintaining a production roadmap
  • Position may require licensing in applicable states that PI operates.  If so, you must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working in the iCasino industry, especially with Live Casino Studios content providers (Evolution, Ezugi, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in a related field (for example, Business Administration).

Most importantly, we look for people who are curious. We’re not looking for code monkeys, we’re looking for people who can solve problems.

The government doesn’t stop, so regulations are constantly changing. That means that a great feature we implement today may need to change to fit new requirements tomorrow. You have to be adaptable to those sorts of changes.

What are your 2021 plans for growth?

We’re currently headquartered in Philadelphia with offices in Cherry Hill, NJ and Las Vegas, NV. We’re looking to double in size, responsibly, over the course of the year.

Specifically, we’re looking to fill roles across engineering, mobile, front-end, data, cloud, QA, product, design, marketing, and CRM analytics.

 

As a company that has grown so big, so fast, talk to us about how the internal work culture has shifted.

The engineering team used to feel like a startup, but today it feels more like a real company, not because we have a big corporate feel, but we’ve implemented more official processes.

With 50-60 employees, the engineering team is still small enough to get to know most people and work collaboratively. We also work with other teams, but our processes allow each team to have autonomy over their part of the product so that they can put their own touch on things.

Part of our culture is that we’re open to the fact that new ideas come from anywhere. Any employee can draw up a proof of concept and build a demo. If we see value in it, we can implement it the very next day. With our pace of change, you’re able to improve the process and the end product very quickly. It’s exciting. We love to learn about new technology and frameworks.
