Penn Interactive (PI) is an interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. PI is the digital arm of Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S. Our mission is to challenge the norms of the gaming industry by building an immersive interactive gaming experience that is responsible, innovative, and fun. We are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our expanding Creative Team and support the production of Barstool Sportsbook & Casino marketing materials. The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director to produce engaging and on-brand creative assets used across a variety of media channels.


To be successful in this role, you must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, excellent with time-management, organized and passionate about sports and/or sports betting.


  • Produce and localize creative assets used across owned, paid and partner marketing channels.
  • Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director to develop 360 creative campaigns and experiences across both print and digital mediums (specialization in the digital landscape – paid social, display, email and landing pages).
  • Communicate project status and deadlines to the Art Director as needed to ensure personal and department goals are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance requirements across all creative assets.
  • Juggle multiple projects at once with varying deadlines, brand guidelines and marketing needs.
  • Organize all creative assets including design files, templates, logos, stock imagery and more.
  • Study design briefs and conceptualize visuals based on campaign requirements.
  • Provide proofreading services to team members.
  • Attend team and department meetings.
  • Other creative design duties as assigned.


  • 1 – 2 years of design experience.
  • A brilliant portfolio demonstrating creative, design and software skills.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (After Effects, Premiere and Animate are a plus).
  • College degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Basic understanding of design principles as they relate to digital marketing (color, layout, use of imagery, typography, etc.).
  • Passionate about visual communication and translating storytelling into compelling visual solutions.
  • High-level verbal, written, listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketers from all backgrounds to drive the business forward through inspiring, strategic creative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven work environment.
  • Ability to work short-notice overtime hours on an as-needed basis.
  • Passionate about sports, sports betting and / or casino gaming.
  • Extra Superpowers: HTML5 Banner Creation, illustration, video editing and motion graphics.

Most importantly, we look for people who are curious. We’re not looking for code monkeys, we’re looking for people who can solve problems.

The government doesn’t stop, so regulations are constantly changing. That means that a great feature we implement today may need to change to fit new requirements tomorrow. You have to be adaptable to those sorts of changes.

It’s important to know, we’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for people who are willing to acknowledge they don’t know something, are ready to be challenged and to learn.


What are your 2021 plans for growth?

We’re currently headquartered in Philadelphia with offices in Cherry Hill, NJ and Las Vegas, NV. We’re looking to double in size, responsibly, over the course of the year.

Specifically, we’re looking to fill roles across engineering, mobile, front-end, data, cloud, QA, product, design, marketing, and CRM analytics.


As a company that has grown so big, so fast, talk to us about how the internal work culture has shifted.

The engineering team used to feel like a startup, but today it feels more like a real company, not because we have a big corporate feel, but we’ve implemented more official processes.

With 50-60 employees, the engineering team is still small enough to get to know most people and work collaboratively. We also work with other teams, but our processes allow each team to have autonomy over their part of the product so that they can put their own touch on things.

Part of our culture is that we’re open to the fact that new ideas come from anywhere. Any employee can draw up a proof of concept and build a demo. If we see value in it, we can implement it the very next day. With our pace of change, you’re able to improve the process and the end product very quickly. It’s exciting. We love to learn about new technology and frameworks.
