About the Role:

The Ecommerce team at Perpay is on a mission to deliver on Perpay’s promise to provide affordable access to quality products and brands to a customer group that is misunderstood and underserved by traditional financial institutions and retailers.

As our Senior Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing our product assortment strategy, establishing and maintaining strategic vendor partnerships, while continually delivering new quality brands and products for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Ecommerce Lead to run our vendor acquisition and vendor management merchandising verticals
  • Independently drive sales by maintaining and executing our assortment strategy through the development of product, brand, manufacturer and vendor relationshipsL
  • Leverage customer data, market trends and previous experience to identify brands and products that best serve our customer’s needs
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, focusing on vendor management and brand acquisition and development
  • Negotiate, build, and source compelling product assortments at the best value
  • Collaborate with our visual merchandising team on how, when and where to showcase products
  • Establish a forecast for each merchandise category and make recommendations on allocation and goals
  • Create and curate a reporting framework to capture all critical metrics and insights, while ensuring all trends to plan are communicated effectively
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance downtrends
  • Assess areas of opportunity or improvement where appropriate and communicate them to senior leadership

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of professional merchandising/ buying experience
    Knowledge of the key elements of dropship fulfillment and 3PL merchandise models
  • Comfortability leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to influence negotiations and decision-making
  • Ability to contribute meaningfully to brand, product, growth, and analytics conversations using your previous experience
  • Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to identify opportunities and suggest efficient solutions in a fast-moving company at the forefront of democratizing consumer credit
  • Ambition, comfortability managing multiple priorities, organized, and passionate about what you do
  • Enjoys leading in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and in situations with varying levels of ambiguity and uncertainty
