About the Role:

This role supports day-to-day operations at Gray Swan AI, a rapidly growing AI safety startup.

Initially, you’ll spend 1-2 months onboarding alongside our Director of Operations, gaining familiarity with company operations. You’ll manage operations independently during a leave period from August through mid-October, with an opportunity to specialize in people operations as our team expands.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operational tasks with a high degree of independence
  • Support HR, accounting, finance, legal, office management, recruiting, and product operations tasks alongside Gray Swan's Director of Operations
• Coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Identify, prioritize, and complete tasks proactively in ambiguous environments
• Potential to specialize in people operations post-onboarding

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience (internships excluded)
• Experience in operations, program management, or project management
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven track record managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience managing sensitive or confidential information
• Demonstrated initiative in past roles (ability to proactively address challenges)
• Eager to learn new tasks and build diverse skills
• Interest or experience in people operations
• Professional demeanor suited for people operations
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Preferred:

• Startup experience
• Direct experience in people operations

Compensation: $93,800-$108,700 + equity opportunity
