About the Opportunity

We're seeking a technically skilled and personable Project Engineer - Production Art Specialist to transform client artwork into production-ready files while ensuring an exceptional customer experience at our Philadelphia headquarters. You'll manage the full client journey - from building the production order and invoicing, to initial design consultation, to handling custom component proofing and ordering, to guiding through installation, and training. 

The ideal candidate combines technical design expertise with strong, friendly communication skills. You should be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to clearly explain technical processes to clients. Most importantly, you'll work collaboratively with our team while maintaining high quality standards and building lasting client relationships.

We're looking for a detail-oriented person who excels at building relationships and communicating effectively. You should combine a precise work ethic with a friendly, supportive demeanor and genuine interest in the client’s success. The role requires clear communication of processes and policies, with an emphasis on accuracy and positive collaboration. You'll need to balance attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills, ensuring tasks are completed correctly while maintaining constructive relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

This is a full time position, hybrid eligible based in Philadelphia at Oat Foundry's HQ. 

COMPENSATION & EMPLOYMENT STATUS

This position is full time, at-will and comes with a base salary with variable compensation, and benefits including Unlimited PTO, Health Care, 401(k), Training & Education Credits, Parental Leave, Profit Sharing, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Client Onboarding: Act as the point contact onboarding new clients, receiving the contact’s information from the sales department and onboard clients into Oat Foundry’s production queue.
  • Custom Components: work with clients to receive and approve the ordering of custom components (e.g., custom fonts, colors, vinyls, header panels, picture flap artwork) and input these specifications in the appropriate production format.
  • Invoicing and Accounts Receivable: Project Engineer will prepare and send invoices to new clients and collect accounts receivable when overdue.
  • Education: Train clients on the installation and operation of Oat Foundry products, including use of the Split Flap Portal and Picture Flap Webapp.
  • Post-Installation Support: Work with the Oat Foundry support team to provide technical support for inquiries from end users and resolve as necessary.
  • Post-Installation Outreach/ QBR: Perform regular outreach duties to ensure customers are utilizing Oat Foundry products to their fullest extent in the application they’ve been planned for and identify new opportunities to improve the customer experience and/or Oat Foundry’s offerings

 YOU WILL NEED:

  • An engineering degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Strong organization and time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Effective communication and an active listening skills
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt quickly as client’s needs change 
  • To make realistic, quantitative assessments of client behavior and trends

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION INFORMATION (YEARLY): $62,000 - $72,000
