Hi! We’re Entrada, a language learning startup that enables service staff to learn English as they work. Using our TalkBack® Method, staff can become conversational in English in only 100 lesson days – as they complete their daily tasks. In turn, the program increases retention, drives recruitment, and enhances the guest experience.

We are hiring for our first positions: An Engagement and Operations Manager to build systems, manage relationships, and identify processes that will scale in time. The person in this key role will have excellent initiative and follow through, engage with past and current clients, liaise between learners, and keep engagement sky high to enable us to be the premier language service provider for service industry staff. Travel will be required on occasion, and it you will work closely with the CEO to reduce the need for travel as we scale. (Also hiring: Director of Business Development).

This teammate will be passionate about empowering low-income immigrants to learn English. We are spreading compassion and reshaping communication as we know it.  You must also have the desire to grow, shape, and develop this role – and you should have general interest in entrepreneurship and task-juggling.

Founder Erin Janklow is a current Fellow at the Halcyon Incubator, and later this summer Entrada will join Rent the Runway/Project Entrepreneur as one of 5 companies selected for their summer intensive.

 

You will spearhead the launch of new programs and engage new clients during this process and beyond.

 

What does the role entail?:

You will create, expand upon, and build out systems to engage users and customers alike.

 

Examples include:

  • Create framework and identify ways to adapt program not only across different industries, but also across hotels and organizations of different needs/sizes
  • Nurture customer relationships and engage stakeholders of all levels, both during and after the program:
    • Example: Learners, Supervisors, Managers, and Owners at every property
  • Automate a flow for guided daily engagement, often using if/then logic, monitoring learner responses, and building out additional touchpoints (no coding background required, though comfort with Excel is a must)
  • Work closely with the CEO to identify and build areas that will enable us to expand

Desired Prior Experience:

Our dream candidate brings the following:

  • Experience working with low-income communities
  • Familiarity managing engagement programs
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • Strong desire to make a tangible difference in the company’s direction, and in the lives of our learners!
  • Experience with CRM processes

In addition to everything that makes you fabulous, you must also be:

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (Native speaker preferred)
  • An excellent communicator – writing, listening, and collaborating in both Spanish and English
  • Passionate about languages
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Needs to be “a runner”: Task driven, detail oriented, and goal focused.
