REPORTS TO:

Service Manager

JOB STATUS:

Full time non-exempt 40 hours per week

JOB FUNCTION:

  • Monitor the NOC for alerts
    • Respond by creating tickets service orders, as appropriate
    • Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate if needed
    • Clear all warnings, errors and misconfigurations
    • Monitor to proactively identify issues on client networks
  • Perform preventative maintenance using pre-established best practice checklists
  • Ensure NOC software is current for each client
  • Use scripts to accomplish administrative tasks and software deployment
  • Monitor backup jobs to ensure all jobs complete successfully each night
  • Monitor antivirus software to ensure all clients are up to date
  • Document processes and non-standard requirements
  • Produce management reports for client meetings
  • Follow pre-established best practice checklists for new equipment setup
  • Investigate hardware problems and perform minor system hardware and communication connection repairs
  • Assist with help desk support for pre-established clients
  • Maintain accurate time tracking records of billable and non-billable time
  • Rely on independent thinking and the ability to follow pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Ability (technical and judgmental) to understand urgency and make decisions accordingly
  • Ability to triage incoming customer issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to follow checklists
  • Attention to detail

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and deductive reasoning
  • Working knowledge of computer software and hardware
  • Must have valid driver’s license and insured, reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
