Technically Media is a digital media company that focuses on building and making connections within our community of professionals. We publish Technical.ly and Generocity.org; our clients are growing organizations with hiring and retention (employer brand marketing and oher talent services) needs, among others who want to meet members of our community.
We are hiring a creative and mission-minded Marketing Manager to expand our lead-generating activities at the top of our Buyer Journey. Our Marketing Manager will succeed by shaping our content marketing and marketing automation to discover and nurture leads, which are primarily companies that want to hire from and make their own connections within our community. This is primarily a marketing operations role though there are opportunities to deploy creativity when needed.
We are an efficient team of 17. This role reports to Vice President (of Sales & Marketing), Vincent Better; complemented by our Sales Director, Aileen Connolly McNulty, and working in tandem with our Editorial team (which owns our Reader Journey) and Product team (which is chiefly responsible for connections within our community). As Marketing Manager, you will oversee contractor support and a limited budget that can grow with your experience.
We have a nascent content marketing strategy — which includes a Slack and Linkedin community, on-going editorial, a weekly newsletter, a quarterly webinar series and an annual conference, called Introduced — to inform, connect and grow a community of professionals who may rely on our services, beginning with our Talent Pro platform. This Marketing Manager will work closely with our CEO to support, shape and grow this work. A key metric of success will be the number of qualified leads transitioned to our sales team across the markets we serve.
Our client-focused marketing is most established with our Technical.ly brand, which will remain the first priority. Our Generocity.org brand, currently in Philadelphia only, has a less established customer focus, which presents a future opportunity for growth. At this stage, Generocity’s buyers are large social services organizations (with hiring and retention needs), foundations and corporate social responsibility teams.
