Susquehanna is looking for an Operator to join our Data Engineering team within the Options group. In this role, you will be on the front lines helping to improve the quality of data delivery, storage and development, while collaborating across multiple development and quantitative groups. This will give you the opportunity to be part of the entire lifecycle of strategy development.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of production data, ensuring its accuracy and availability for analysis.
  • Monitor data pipelines and production systems to ensure smooth operation and quickly address any issues that arise.
  • Implement and maintain data quality standards, conducting regular checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to data processing and production systems.
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to optimize data workflows and improve production efficiency.
  • Document production data, including quantities produced, machine performance, and any incidents during their shift
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data to identify areas for process optimization

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience required
  • Experience in Linux or Windows systems administration – work in a medium to large-enterprise server environment is a plus
  • Basic understanding of  operating system fundamentals
  • Scripting experience ( PowerShell or Python for example) and server deployment tools experience is  desirable
  • Enthusiasm for working with data, especially large sets of data. Strong aesthetics for cleanliness and correctness in data
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
