Title: Business Intelligence Manager

Reports to: Enterprise Data Warehouse Sr. Director

Supervises: Business Intelligence Team


URBN Technology’s Enterprise Data Warehouse is the central hub for all data analysis activities, providing insights and access to information for teams across the enterprise. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the Business Intelligence team and work with stakeholders around the globe. The scope of data is the entire enterprise – all departments. The appetite for information is ever growing and the reporting tools need to stay in step.

This position requires significant attention to detail, as well as constant communication with internal team members. The successful candidate is proactive, creative, and organized. Strong communication skills (written and oral), can work concurrently on multiple projects, works well with others, and learns quickly are other key attributes.   • Manage team of administrators and developers - combined off-shore and on-shore
  • Provide ongoing support to reporting users across all departments, including off-hours and holidays by setting up an on-call rotation amongst the team members and manager.
  • Prioritizing work of each member and represent the group in larger meetings
  • Develop documentation, QA and workflow practices for the team
  • Conduct requirements definition meetings as needed
  • Coordinate with business intelligence vendors and consultants
  • Communicate project updates and status throughout the lifecycle of a project

  • Communicating effectively with concise insights and/or visualizations utilizing software such as Excel and PowerPoint while partnering collaboratively with colleagues and leaders.
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to identify and effectively resolve challenges and questions
  • Agile mindset, flexible and easily adaptable to new challenges
  • Prior experience leading some sort of reporting team

Job Skills:

  • Several years’ experience developing in MicroStrategy or Qlik
  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Understanding of Data Modeling, Evaluating Data Sources and knowledge of Data Warehouse/Data Mart Design
  • Data Visualization understanding preferred
  • Any prior retail experience preferred

Educations: Bachelor's Degree in fields related to retail business, data analytics, marketing analytics or quantitative business analysis or relevant work experience
