Our client is looking for an Oracle Apps Database Administrator to support their existing Oracle E-Business Suite and accompanying applications. This application supports the clients product catalog and is a critical internal application.

The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications. This role involves ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of the Oracle applications and databases, as well as supporting development and production environments.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases.
* Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, recovery, and patch management.
* Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and application performance problems.
* Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment.
* Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to meet business requirements.
* Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Provide on-call support for production environments as needed.

*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
* Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
* Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
* Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
* Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
* Experience with cloud-based Oracle environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
* Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
