The Corporate Technology team is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst. In this role, you will act as the main interface between technology and our corporate real estate portfolio. Incumbents help define business requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria. Incumbent will also drive the creation of technical specifications and non-functional requirements in alignment with business needs to ensure effective solution development. This individual will ensure that developers receive the information they need to create comprehensive, quality solutions.

As part of this process, the incumbent will interact between technical team and business team members to ensure that uncertainty is resolved. Incumbent will also work with the business to ensure that work is prioritized by business value and in alignment with the overarching business and technical strategies of the team. Incumbent will drive the creation of test plans with the business and conduct testing of internally developed or SaaS products. Incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing relationships with outsourced vendors.

Role summary and job responsibilities:

  • Working independently and fully accountable for own work.

  • Defining complex business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.

  • Working closely and developing relationships with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all user story requirements are understood, documented, and met.

  • Ensuring a lean-agile mind-set is applied to work projects.

  • Breaking down and communicating to non-technical audiences various complex or vague problems, options, and recommended steps to address.

  • Evolving a solution or decision as new information is gained.

  • Assisting in implementation of new processes including identification of risks and information gaps that must be addressed to ensure a successful outcome.

Business knowledge

  • You demonstrate knowledge of corporate real estate operations

  • You are highly self-motivated and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environment.

  • You articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions

  • Your decisions show a focus on current and future business priorities, together with fiscal responsibility

Requirements

  • 5+ yrs. as a business or technical analyst

  • Agile experience

  • Proven experience with stakeholder management and product analysis

  • Demonstrated experience defining requirements for new systems and integrations

  • Ability to identify system/process/data impacts (upstream and downstream) and propose appropriate alternatives/ remediation

  • Demonstrated understanding of multiple technologies/applications

  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written

  • Experience working with multiple projects simultaneously to identify, document and manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities
