JOB TITLE: Product Leader

DEPARTMENT: Product

REPORTING TO: Vice President of Product

LOCATION: Baltimore, MD (Currently remote due to COVID-19, but will be returning to in-office work once company deems it safe to do so)

COMPENSATION: $60,000 to $65,000 annually

OVERVIEW:

InVita Healthcare Technologies, a leading provider of software solutions to the healthcare industry, seeks a Product Leader. As a Product Leader, you will be responsible for managing an on-market portfolio of InVita’s products. This role will involve understanding true Voice of Customer, alignment across functions and with senior management, development of roadmaps, crafting of a customer centered value proposition, and partnership with the engineering team to drive software development. You will be our company SME with respect to products you manage, and will give customer demo’s and conduct company training. An ideal candidate will have successfully managed SaaS products previously, obsess over what our customers value, and be capable of becoming a thought leader within the healthcare industry. We are looking for an experienced product marketer and writer to clearly convey the story of our products and their benefits.  This role will be responsible for developing product messaging strategy across all channels and persona, as well as marketing plans for new product launches.

Ideal candidates will have successfully managed SaaS products, obsess over what customers value, and be capable of becoming a thought leader within the healthcare industry.  Candidates should be entrepreneurial in spirit and be able to proactively rise to the occasion when opportunities present themselves. The ability to take full accountability for a portfolio of products and drive their growth is paramount to this role. Strong presentation and writing skills are a must. as this role will be highly visible to InVita’s senior management team. InVita’s Product Leader enjoys executing on both a strategic and tactical level, with the ability to comfortably leverage information and feedback into strategic plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage cross-functional release process for on-market SaaS products
  • Own and develop roadmaps for an on-market portfolio, including management of backlog and prioritization of features
  • Translate new concepts into requirements for engineering to develop
  • Manage beta testing and launch of new products
  • Be the SME and evangelist for your products across all areas of the organization and lead product training as needed with other functions
  • Generate thought leadership content including for webinars and white papers
  • Support product marketing with development of value proposition and associated collateral
  • Other duties, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree in a business or technical field (marketing, economics, engineering, computer science, IT) or commensurate experience with technical teams
  • 2-3+ years of functional experience in healthcare or supply chain industry preferred
  • Familiarity operating in an agile environment with experience utilizing software management programs (e.g. Jira, PivotalTracker)
  • Demonstrable experience developing and communicating product roadmaps, and leading the collaboration around priorities and resource constraints, including the ability to communicate with senior management
  • Experience validating and refining product strategy through market research, rapid prototyping, and testing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Logical and efficient working style, with keen attention to detail

  • While performing the duties of this position, prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule. Airplane travel is necessary
