POSITION SUMMARY

As the Sr. Associate, Channel Sales you will be responsible for ensuring that all of our field sales channel partners are operationally efficient. This person will maintain communication with third-party sales representatives and managers across a sales channel focused on in-person acquisition of Inspire Members. A successful candidate will be extremely results-oriented and a fluid communicator, as you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with both internal and external teams. The ideal person is passionate about their sales career, motivated, and has a genuine interest in clean energy, individual growth, and sales relationships. This candidate will have a strong drive to evolve and execute sales processes, handle reporting needs, and will provide support on effective communication from entry-level employees to senior leadership.

THE SR ASSOCIATE, DIRECT TO HOME HAS 5 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales Team Support: Provide indirect support to sales agents in the field as needed with information about the company’s products or questions about sales practices and policies.
  2. Executing an Engaging Partner Experience: Consistently visit offices to build excitement about Inspire by interacting with sales reps in their offices and in the field while prioritizing the highest areas of impact in partnership with channel leadership.
  3. Optimize and Deliver Effective Sales Training: Effectively work with SQ and Training Teams on any coaching and/or corrective measures required that have resulted from customer feedback, complaints, or cancellations.
  4. Design the New Office Experience: Support the growth and launches of new sales offices and agents
  5. Be a Voice of the Channel and Customer: Influence Sales and Marketing initiatives by providing insightful and consistent customer and sales rep feedback around processes, strategies, and opportunities

SOME YEAR 1 DELIVERABLES

    • Oversight over all apparel, collateral, and tablet inventory management including ordering, inventory tracking and adherence to ensure efficient cost allocation within the channel. Will be responsible in building out consistent monthly inventory reporting to be able to share with external partners and key internal stakeholders
    • Formal field auditing cadence that ensures proper market coverage and informs ongoing training implementation
    • Development of cross-sell “playbook” to effectively share best practices across partners to enable rep participation

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Launching two new cross-sell sales partner programs
  • Achieve over 20% of channel volume coming from cross-sell sub channel
  • Increase participating rep headcount by 30% year over year

  • Relationship Builder: Your success in this role will be dependent on the strength of the relationships that are built with our sales partners.  You must have the ability to quickly build rapport and trust at all levels.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You will need excellent communication skills when communicating with our sales partners, both in person, and with email.  The ability to motivate individuals and teams will be crucial.
  • Sales Skills:  You must have a passion for and experience in driving sales and creating effective and efficient sales processes.
  • Data Driven: Use data and analytics, paired with qualitative feedback from our sales partners to inform decisions.
  • Problem Solver: This role will present its share of curveballs.  It’s important that you’re able to respond quickly and keep pushing towards a successful outcome.

EXPERIENCE

Must Have

  • 3-4 years of relevant sales, business development, or relationship management experience
  • Experience in direct outside sales, training and/or managing third party sales relationships
  • Willing to travel on average 50% of the week in the Northeast Region
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing sales processes and communication plans to streamline KPI improvement

How has Inspire has worked to improve employee work/life balance during the pandemic?

Due to the always-on nature of working from home during quarantine, we found that people had started working more hours and taking less PTO. Even when we told people to take time off, they still seemed to check in and contribute. We established “bonus days,” where every other Friday is off for the entire company. That way, no one is working, employees don’t feel that they are missing anything, and everyone can truly relax and recharge.
