Role

Practice (formerly ApprenNet) is building the world’s most robust platform for teaching and learning real-world skills — the kinds of skills you have to practice to master. Our customers include major brands in both the higher education and corporate domains. On a given day, our clients are using Practice to demonstrate proper techniques for tying surgical knots, learning to speak to customers appropriately in difficult situations, practice arguing a case in front of a judge and much more.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (Ruby / JavaScript), you will play a pivotal role in scaling and developing the Practice platform being used by hundreds of thousands of students. On a given day you could be building a new integration for a major client, debugging an issue in our production servers with our client success team, building out our APIs or any of a dozen other things.

If you…

  • love working with modern JavaScript
  • strongly believe that all code should be thoroughly tested

  • open minded and willing to rethink conventional techniques
  • take pride in tracking down the hardest-to-find bugs
  • love to learn from other developers – and share your own knowledge
  • want to work on a product that actually helps people learn

… then look no further. Practice is the place for you. We are a close-knit, passionate engineering team.
