At Exyn Technologies, we are excited about the future of robotics in the realm of aerial autonomy. Groundbreaking aerial robots require great engineering, and we’re looking for passionate and dedicated test engineers to be a part of our Philadelphia team.

As a Field Engineer at Exyn Technologies, you will be on the front lines of commercial engagements overseeing the deployment of our robots in real customer environments.

You will:

  • Play a lead role deploying, testing, and evaluating prototype and product rollouts
  • Be the face of the company at onsite client engagements
  • Train clients on our technology
  • Safety pilot at client sites during engagements
  • Work closely with the product and technology teams to improve the product and customer experience

Essential Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in planning, writing, and executing test plans
  • Experience in coordinating with a cross functional team
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally upwards of 75% of the time with possible placements at client site for extended periods
  • US citizenship or permanent residency

Great to Have

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of various testing methodologies at all stages of product development
  • Excellent problem resolution, judgment & decision-making skills
  • Prior experience in the mining industry
  • Prior experience conducting engineering or geological surveys
  • Prior experience in robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace or a closely related industry
  • Passion for aerial robots
  • Familiarity with flying a drone

About Us

Exyn Technologies is a spin-off of the GRASP Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania and is commercializing cutting edge research and development in the area of autonomous flight and aerial robotics.

Our team is comprised of some of the best people in the world in the core areas of autonomy which includes optimal control, perception, motion planning, state estimation, multi-sensor data fusion, and simultaneous localization and mapping.  More than half of the team have earned doctoral degrees and/or completed post-doctoral research in some subset of these areas at some of the leading institutions which include UPenn, Georgia Tech and Johns Hopkins.

The team also has a strong breadth of industrial engineering and research experience with team members joining from Boeing, SRI, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and United Technologies Research Center.

Altogether our technical team boasts an aggregate of 76 years of post undergraduate experience, and includes multiple DARPA Urban Challenge veterans.
