Fastspot is seeking a motivated, experienced self-starter to lead business development efforts for our services – including digital marketing strategy, interactive design and website development. Business development is about big ideas, new relationships, and shared inspiration.  We’re looking for a candidate who has excellent written and verbal skills, and who has past experience within a similar agency or industry vertical (higher education, health care, cultural institutions.)

You will work directly with agency Presidents, the Creative Director and Account Manager to identify the right prospects and approaches. You will also be responsible for qualifying and responding to inbound leads, crafting proposals and Statements of Work, creating pitch decks and presentations, and leading the agency towards great partnerships with amazing clients.


  • Management of business development projects
  • Developing and managing effective outbound efforts
  • Networking and lead generation
  • Managing and reporting on pipeline and projections
  • New market development
  • Ensure effective followup on all pending leads and opportunities
  • Working with HubSpot, Pages, Keynote and G Suite tools.
  • Crafting impeccable proposals and contracts
  • Working with Account Manager to nurture existing and prospective clients via a relationship based approach


  • Reviewing RFPs and writing detailed, creative proposals
  • Organizing and/or leading pitches
  • Keeping the CRM up-to-date with deals, contacts, and interactions
  • Helping to set and meet sales targets
  • Understanding and advancing Fastspot’s market position
  • Monitoring competitor offerings and marketing activities
  • Representing the company in the community and at conferences


  • Minimum 3 years experience in Business Development within a similar digital agency
  • Experience developing business and opportunities within Fastspot’s verticals (higher education, health care, cultural organizations)
  • Strong existing network of contacts and past clients
  • Strong understanding and passion for technology and design
  • Team player able to work well in high-energy environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage time and juggle many opportunities
  • Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and contacts
