Technically Media, a niche news and events organization, is building brands that convene the smartest people and organizations in industries that matter for local communities to thrive in the future. We are best known for our mission-oriented community journalism, our Philly Tech Week and Baltimore Innovation Week event series, and the quarterly events we organize in all of our markets, including Philly, Brooklyn, Baltimore, D.C. and statewide in Delaware.

We are a mission minded organization, looking for talented people who aren’t afraid to tackle big projects and utilize their creativity to solve problems. As an intern, you will work closely with our team members on real projects, gaining skills and helping us grow as an organization.


Business Internship

The Business Intern will work with the Business team to support any ongoing sales efforts, processes, and post-sales customer service activities. This intern will work with the business team to execute its strategic business plan of establishing new as well as maintaining/growing existing business in our markets along the Northeast Corridor.


  • Great collaboration and communication skills
  • Interest in how fosters community and collaboration through sponsorship of our events, content, and digital media products across the 5 markets we cover
  • Interest in learning more about sales and building client relationships
  • Proficient at all Google Suite applications (Sheets. Docs, etc)
  • Familiar with CRM usage, specifically Hubspot a plus
  • Familiar with accounting/finance software, specifically QuickBooks a plus
  • Knowledge of and interest in local and national technology industries is preferred but not required.


  • Research potential prospect leads
  • Generate actionable prospect lists
  • Share sales confirmations
  • Generate invoices
  • Work cross-functionally with internal  Technically Media teams to develop marketing campaigns and opportunities
  • Help maintain relationships with sponsors and partners
  • Provide basic customer support to client base as necessary
  • Work out of Philadelphia based office for 16 hours a week, with flexibility around your schedule. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Our Summer Internship begins the week of June 15th and ends the week of Sept 15th. The deadline for application is May 14th. This internship comes with a stipend of $1,000 ($500 paid July 15th and $500 on the intern’s last day).
