Job responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Interface with customers and internally to analyze the design and deployment of hardware and software, including servers, routers, wireless access points, Microsoft Windows Server, IIS and SQL Server, and make recommendations.
  • Provide second-tier technical support for customer infrastructure to troubleshoot SQL locking, network and wireless connectivity.
  • Automate common tasks with the scripting language best suited for the job.
  • Maintain VMware clusters, Windows servers and software such as SQL Server, backup and anti-virus.
  • Maintain routers, firewall and access points.
  • Manage internal tools such as Team City
  • Formulate IT policy/procedure and collaborate with the IT team on implementing it.
  • Manage Active Directory and Group Policies as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, network and internet security.
  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN design.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas to customers and team members with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Experience configuring and managing VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience managing Windows servers, SQL Server, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP.
  • Experience configuring enterprise-grade switches, routers and access points.
  • Experience with Office 365 a plus but not required.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience.
