Position Overview

We are looking for a Lead Fullstack Developer to oversee the strategic migration and enhancement of our backend, as well as architect & develop mobile app features, using react native. You will lead critical efforts, migrating from Python to Java, implementing robust WebSocket services, and transitioning from Firebase RTDB to SQL databases on Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development, migrating server components from Python to Java, particularly focusing on WebSocket implementations.
• Drive the migration of our data storage from Firebase RTDB to structured SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain high-quality frontend integrations using React Native, optimizing for low latency, real-time updates, and exceptional user experience.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver cohesive and efficient solutions.
• Establish best practices for software quality, including comprehensive testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Contribute actively to strategic technical decisions and overall system architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in mobile full-stack development.
• Proven track record migrating from Python to Java in complex backend environments, particularly with WebSocket servers.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases (MySQL), schema design, and transitioning from NoSQL databases (Firebase RTDB).
• Expertise with Google Cloud Platform for backend services, deployments, scalability, and security.
• Strong skills in software testing frameworks, build pipelines, performance optimization & debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in React Native for frontend integration, including familiarity with BLE, GPS, UWB, and real-time data processing.
• Prior experience optimizing mobile applications for performance in gaming or real-time interactive environments.
• Knowledgeable in mobile-specific performance optimization techniques.
