Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our cloud environment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and be well-versed in cloud-native principles. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation, with the assurance that it won’t drastically impact personal time.

*Minimum Requirements:*
* Must have experience with AWS services and tools.
* Proficient understanding of what it means to be cloud-native.
* Ability to collaborate with other teams to determine Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
* Experience with monitoring tools is essential.
* Must have experience with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).

*Nice to haves:*
* Knowledge of service mesh architectures is desirable.
* Familiarity with Argo CD for continuous delivery would be advantageous.
* Understanding of helm charts for Kubernetes is beneficial.
* Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Real User Monitoring (RUM) would be a plus.

*Performance Expectations:*
* The candidate should be capable of developing strategies for observability versus monitoring within our organization.
* Willingness to embrace the “you build it, you own it” model, taking full ownership of services from development through production.

*Experience Requirements:*
* This position is aimed at principal or senior-level candidates who bring significant years of experience in site reliability engineering within a cloud environment.

*Additional Qualifications:*
* Proven track record of building a team from scratch and deploying observability solutions effectively, particularly within digital value streams.
