As the IBM/Java Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions for enterprise-level integration projects. You will work with AS400 and Java Web APIs to produce reliable code in an Agile environment. You will join a team of extremely dynamic and passionate developers to work on their newest projects. *Minimum Qualifications:*

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or any advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent work experience

· Extensive experience using IBM AS400 and Java Web APIs

· Nice to have: CA 2E/Synon

· Strong understanding of application development lifecycle methodologies

· Extensive analysis and design skills

· Great communication skills (Oral and Written)

· Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changes.

*Responsibilities:*

· Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following an agile software development lifecycle process.

· Lead development estimation activities and present to senior leaders.

· Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications.

· Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

· Research new technologies and maintain active knowledge of current industry application development trends, with a view to how these can be utilized in the environment.

· Document technical solutions and designs at level of detail suitable for enterprise architectural review, user training, and ongoing system maintenance.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
