T. Rowe Price is seeking a Lead Architect who has a passion, vision and technical acumen to drive forward Strategic Digital Transformation initiatives to meet the needs of the Global Distribution Business. The Lead architect in the DMS Architecture team will be a leader who has an opportunity to have a positive and significant influence on ground-breaking capabilities and transformative customer experiences within the Digital domain to enable business growth in a scalable and sustainable manner.

The right candidate for this role is an expert in modern Digital constructs that enable world class user experiences through self-service, straight through processing and hyper automation. They are hyper-focused on delivering exceptional results with great leadership skills. The candidate is excited around the opportunity to interact with fellow technologists beyond their team and influence Business & Technology partners across the enterprise.
 

Key Expectations:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of an architecture roadmap and associated capabilities that enable the realization of the strategic digital initiatives across the firm.
  • Be a thought leader in the Digital space by bringing awareness around industry trends corresponding to Digital experience and how they map to TRP strategies
  • Collaborate across the organization to identify opportunities related to digital and lead the definition of next-generation digital strategies and architecture blueprint along with an execution roadmap.
  • Proactively own and drive conversations with business and technology partners to understand business strategies.
  • Understand and align architecture strategies for Digital implementations across the Marketing, Sales and Servicing domains
  • Define strategy and architecture for batch, near real-time and streaming use cases and patterns.
  • Ensure leverage of native cloud-based technologies (AWS) in the context of solution implementations.
  • Document architecture decisions that include business needs, point of view, rationale, pros, and cons.
  • Lead efforts to define/refine execution standards for all Digital & Solution architecture concerns, mentor teams on standards and review all designs to ensure that project teams are meeting expectations for quality and conformity.
  • Regularly interact with leadership on work status, priority setting and resource allocations.
  • Research new tools and/or new architecture and review with project teams as applicable.
  • Work with support team to define methods for implementing solutions that support performance measurement and monitoring of digital-oriented technology solutions.
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a technology area of study; preferably in Computer Science, MIS or Analytics
  • 8+ years equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture and mobile/web technologies; preferably on AWS technology stack
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to document & share ideas across broad audiences
  • Expert level knowledge around implementation of web & mobile user experiences
  • Expert level knowledge of digital technologies and constructs such as Modern JavaScript frameworks, cookies, web analytics, caching, authentication, browsers, etc
  • Expert level skills in cloud technologies and modern micro-services architecture
  • Senior level knowledge of Adobe cloud and Digital marketing
  • Senior level knowledge of modern Security constructs such as Single Sign on, OAuth, SAML etc
  • Broad understanding of the SalesForce platform and its integration in the context of associate digital experiences is a plus
  • Working Knowledge of the FinTech industry – Financial Services, Banking Sector
  • Working knowledge of FINRA and SEC and how those regulators affect the digital business within the Financial Services sector
  • Experience with Event driven architectures and associated technologies like Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS etc
  • Broad understanding of DevOps concepts.
  • Strong development background.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas tailored to different audiences.
