Job Description

The Act Two career relaunch program at Comcast is a 6-month paid, a fixed-term role for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for personal reasons such as caregiving. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce (in an office/ corporate environment) for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or another dependent. Job Summary:

Responsible for owning the pricing, packaging, and documenting new product ideas and conducts user needs analyses for ancillary products so that subscriber and financial objectives are achieved. Oversees ongoing product management of new and existing products. Conducts the budgeting, planning, analysis, and monitoring required to ensure unit and financial targets are met for assigned products. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility for supervision or performance management of staff.

About the Product Manager Role:

The TPX NGAN Product Manager will be an agent of collaboration to bring together different groups across engineering, product development, operations, and partners within our divisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical background who is looking to expand their skillset into a Product Management role where you will work closely with these teams to develop and drive end-to-end product roadmaps that incorporate business and customer priorities in software development.

The successful candidate will be part of product enhancement planning and, in most cases, lead the research necessary to help prioritize development asks. Close coordination with the appropriate Technology, Data Science, Operations, and Scrum and Program Leads will are crucial to ensure alignment between the teams on sprint schedules and commitments as well as to adjust priorities as needed. A successful person in this role will demonstrate courage, curiosity, trust, and respect in communications and interactions with partners.

Work Location: 

Remote start but must reside in Philadelphia/ Denver or surrounding areas. 

This six-month program will likely start remotely, but the expectation is for you to work from our Philadelphia offices when the company determines it is safe to do so and our offices reopen. Offers for the program are contingent upon candidates’ advance commitment to reside in a geographical area that is within commuting distance to our Philadelphia offices.

What You Will Do: 

  • Contribute to defining the product vision and roadmap by utilizing market research, Data, understanding of technology capabilities and/or limitations, and business and customer need.

  • Operate in Agile teams defining, managing, and prioritizing the product backlog enabling decision-making on what the development team(s) will build.

  • Reviews and audits workflows and deliverables to ensure compliance to delivery and reliability expectations, as well as, identify and advocate areas for improvement.

  • Function as the decision-maker regarding whether a product backlog item was satisfactorily delivered and is accountable for communications with stakeholders.

  • Communicate with development teams, operations, program, and scrum team members and develops strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

  • Generally, we look for 3-5+ years of demonstrated ability in technology products

  • Experience driving discussions with more senior personnel regarding prioritization and requirements

  • Experience working with internal and/or external customers
