Nava is at the forefront of reimagining how our government serves its people, and we’re looking for a Business Development Lead to help us increase our impact within government across our contracting, market research, and product delivery goals.

You’ll work with leadership to craft and execute our contracting strategy, helping to shape the direction of the company. You’ll identify new opportunities for growth, conduct market analysis and competitive research, track trends in technology and public service design, and ensure that we continue to overdeliver against the needs of our end users and  government partners.

You are a strategic market thinker, excel at pattern matching, and are an excellent listener and communicator. You approach your work with an outcomes-oriented mindset, and make thoughtful decisions while considering their impact across multiple teams, both internally and externally. You have the ability to shepherd teams through complex proposal processes to achieve a winning bid. You stay up to date about technology and design trends, and care deeply about improving Nava’s impact on end users and our government partners.

What you’ll do

  • In coordination with leadership, craft and lead the execution of winning, end-to-end contracting strategy and proposal responses that align with the impact we seek to deliver
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis
  • Deeply understand government partner needs, market trends, technology and service design trends, and Nava’s capabilities to identify any gaps or opportunities in the value chain
  • Build strong relationships between Nava and new program offices by providing concrete value and active problem solving
  • Represent Nava’s unique capabilities, expertise, approach, and values in meetings with new partners and potential partners
  • Monitor for new areas of growth, including new projects, vehicles, offerings, or market segments

What we’re looking for

  • Deep experience with federal government contracting and creating or scoring winning proposals
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay informed with insightful competitive research and technology trends
  • An outcomes-oriented and value-add approach to working with government partners
  • Experience coordinating teams and organizing proposal responses
  • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
  • Ability to build and form strong relationships with external partners
  • Highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environments with many parallel threads
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator

About Us
