The Oxford Club, a leading independent financial publisher, is searching for the perfect candidate to fill the role of Jr Front End Developer. This is a unique role that’s ideal for a detail-oriented person who wants to be challenged and won’t stand for anything but the best possible final product.

The individual in this position collaborates closely with copywriters, designers, marketers, and web developers to conceptualize and build new front-end code variations for A/B and multivariate testing to enhance the user experience and drive an increase in sales.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update static HTML pages, eComm webpages and promotional efforts using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap for cross platform experiences.
  • Create and maintain products, bundles, and memberships for their eComm platform and sales teams.
  • Troubleshoot/debug coding errors and clean up HTML/CSS on existing pages.
  • Support other teams with any coding issues or debugging.
  • Work with designers to create and enhance HTML templates.
  • Assist with trouble-shooting system errors in their internal applications, the websites, and other marketing systems and processes.
  • Posting content on their various WordPress websites.
  • Building and posting lead-generation landing pages.
  • Helping to run all mailings through email reputations systems for non-spam compliance and proper viewing in multiple email/mobile/tablet platforms.
  • Cleaning and correcting existing SQL targets (subsets of email lists) as well as creation of future targets.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of equivalent work experience.
  • A strong grasp of HTML and CSS
  • A strong grasp of JavaScript/JQuery.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of Mobile First Responsive design concepts.
  • Understanding of page speed optimization best practices.
  • A history of managing several projects at once.
  • The ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Experience with building, deploying, and updating web content in WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics/Webmaster Tools is a plus.
