14 West, an Agora Company, is looking for a Curriculum and Training Specialist to join us in Baltimore, MD. The Curriculum and Training Specialist will be a key member of our Marketing Intelligence team. The person will own and develop the Marketing Intelligence user knowledge base to support the growth, development and profitability of the direct marketing programs of Agora’s publishing affiliates.

  • Conduct new hire and ongoing training for employees of The Agora Companies regarding the reports and dashboards supported by 14 West Technology Solutions, Marketing Intelligence.
  • Conduct outreach, promote and engage new users to attend training classes.
  • Create and design curriculum for repeated use and facilitation by the Training Specialist or other members of the MI team.
  • Create and design custom curriculum for facilitation by the Training Specialist or other members of the MI team.
  • Conduct various types of training sessions to include in-person, video and web.
  • Track end user attendance in an LMS.
  • Seek out training opportunities for existing employees.
  • Provide ROI on training and train new software/features to employees of MI and end users.
  • Identify and suggest ways to improve: awareness and image of the training materials.
  • Collaborate with department head, affiliates and technical team to execute training objectives, approach and work plans.
  • Conduct assessment of training needs within the businesses.
  • Grasp and apply key concepts related to publishing, direct marketing and back end business operations to effectively apply to the BI environment.
  • Maintain the external MI Wiki.
  • Administrate the Marketing Intelligence Access Point (MAP).


  • BA/BS degree.
  • 3-5+ years serving as a training specialist conducting multimedia training, preferably in a business intelligence or marketing capacity.
  • Skilled in designing training programs including pre-work, presentations and post-training exercises to ensure knowledge retention.
  • Proven track record in the delivery and development of training solutions.
  • MS PowerPoint expertise—master slide creation, slide design and creation.
  • Ability and desire to learn reports and dashboards, including the business purpose(s) of each, how to use them, and when the tools are used as well as how end users are utilizing each of them.
  • Provide timely feedback from end users to the application teams on the usability of the various software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, and work effectively as a team player.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, disciplined, fast learner and organized with attention to detail.
  • Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment.
  • U. S. citizenship or work visa to work legally in the U.S.

The Desirable Requirements:

  • Comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal/consultative skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Computer literate, with minimum of intermediate-level skills using MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn technology and software applications.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
