Are you an experienced Cloud Engineer who is driven to lead and drive technical and process transformations? The ideal candidate for this position is disciplined, commands high attention to detail, and demonstrates expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This person will play a key role as we continue to transform to a code-centric organization. Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the overall direction of our adoption of AWS to include standards, design, operations
  • Design technical solutions in partnership with Software Engineering teams to meet application/service functional and non-function requirements
  • Contribute and help lead the transition to a code everything strategy
  • Contribute to our DevOps culture, continuous integrations, processes, and tools.
  • You will monitor current and future trends, technology, and information that will positively affect organizational projects; apply and integrate emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.
  • Lead the adoption of best practices, standards, training, and general support for the cloud environment
Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling
  • Comprehensive experience deploying Infrastructure as Code patterns using Terraform
  • Working experience with AWS to include strong knowledge of AWS services, such as Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Guard Duty, Route 53, RDS, and SSM
  • Experience with AWS networking including Transit Gateway
  • Ability to train and mentor fellow team members and other engineers
  • Experience with container technologies
  • Strong scripting experience
  • Ability to discover and advocate new technologies and related concepts
  • Excellent organizational and written & verbal communication skills
