This infographic shows off Detroit’s innovation ecosystem

Don’t call it a comeback, Detroit’s been here for years!

That was the theme (song) when we brought together Detroit’s entrepreneurial O.G.s for the event series that we at Technical.ly are producing with Comcast NBCUniversal. It’s called the Tomorrow Tour, and LL Cool J would be proud.

The main objective of the tour is to make it easier to join any local entrepreneurship community. And based on what we heard from the passionate attendees in Detroit, they’re more than happy to welcome you (and the spotlight) with open arms.

Just don’t come to Detroit acting “brand new.” Recognize that leaders there have been cultivating the innovation, tech and startup ecosystem for a while and are just waiting for the acknowledgement their city’s booming scene deserves. This infographic will easily guide you into getting involved.

The infographic lists the coworking spaces, key events, investors and population stats that comprise Detroit’s increasingly vibrant entrepreneurship community. We worked with illustrator Mike Jackson to incorporate info from our own reporting and things we heard from the attendees at the Tomorrow Tour event.

So, in the words of LL Cool J:

Don’t you call this a regular jam
I’m gonna rock this land
I’m gonna take this itty bitty world by storm
And I’m just getting warm
