In July, Technical.ly organized a “meet and greet” to help cloud hosting company Linode staff up its new Philadelphia office. Led by matchmaking project lead Melissa Koenig, it was the first time we’ve produced an event like this for a specific company (though we’ve been organizing our NET/WORK job fairs for a few years now).

Here’s what Linode’s director of human resources Vincent Palochko told us about the experience:

“The event was a remarkable success in getting Linode’s name out there. We made a lot of great connections and overall had an exceptional experience. In addition to four direct hires, we phone screened 10-15 attendees, and about half of them were invited back for an in-person interview, but the real takeaway was the nearly 150 attendees who showed us love that night. Being able to talk about our brand, product, and Philly tech community was priceless.”

Read a recap of the event here.

Linode is also a client of our job platform, Technical.ly Talentcheck out their culture page here.
