Maryland Free Breakfast Series September 2024 – Maryland’s Independent Agencies: Good Government with Private-Sector Sensibilities

Join us at breakfast to hear about the scores of independent agencies in Maryland, how they work, and why they are examples of good government. Although part of the executive branch, they operate as independent units of government and often employ private-sector approaches. Our dynamic speakers run two important agencies: Maryland Environmental Service and the Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO). Both are engineers with extensive experience in the private sector and academia prior to assuming their current roles.
