Teri Quinn Gray, Ph.D, is the newest member of Zip Code Wilmington’s board of directors — and the board’s first woman. She joins cofounders Jim Stewart of Epic Research, Ben DuPont of Chartline Capital Partners and Porter Schutt of Brown Advisory.
Dr. Gray is a global R&D operations and portfolio management leader at DuPont Transportation and Industrial and education advocate in Delaware who served on the Delaware Board of Education from 2009 to 2017. She also sits on the boards for the Delaware Foundation for Science and Math Education, the Delaware Campaign for Action Now, and the Community Education Building, and is a former co-chair of the Delaware STEM Council.
Also on her extensive resume: She’s a founding member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board and served on the ACS Women Chemists Committee in various roles for more than 10 years.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Gray to our Board of Directors as she brings a deep passion for creating educational opportunities for individuals with various backgrounds,” said Zip Code Wilmington Executive Director Melanie Augustin. “Dr. Gray’s tech experience coupled with her insight as a researcher and education advocate will prove invaluable as we continue to elevate Wilmington as a tech-talent hub.”
Zip Code will launch its 12th cohort this fall. With its 11th cohort graduating in April, the number of coders who’ve gone through the program since it launched in September 2015 passed 300.
