A pre-kindergarten teacher at Yorkwood Elementary School wants to introduce her students to technology at an early age.
Kathleen May, who teaches at the Loch Raven school, asked for help in a DonorsChoose.org post. She’s asking for help funding an iPad mini, a LeapFrog tablet, software and accessories.
My children will be able to use these materials to help reinforce the different concepts that are taught in class,” May wrote. “I will be able to put on applications that will help the students practice what is being taught in class. Children of today’s generation love being able to use technology. I believe that these materials will help keep my students engaged. It will also be a good motivation tool for my students.”
So far, the project has raised $20, with $705.32 left to reach its goal. Donations will be accepted through July 30.
