A Waverly Elementary third-grade teacher needs help buying eight Chromebooks to enhance his classroom experience.
“The third grade students here represent the brightest and most intelligent students of Baltimore City Public School students,” teacher Taurean Branch writes in the DonorsChoose.org post. “They have a strong desire to learn and to search the world for answers. They have limited exposure to technology but have the desire to use technology to engage in group activities and collaborative work.”
The Chromebooks would use Edmodo, a software that will allow students to complete and submit assignments, share with classmates, take quizzes and answer poll questions.
Ten donors have given a total of $605 to the project so far, which needs to raise another $2,044 by June 24.
