Yet another TEDx event is bound for Wilmington this April, and this new event is geared toward youth. Tickets are now on sale. It’s called TEDx@Wilmington: Agents of Change.
Ursuline Academy teacher Susan Kampert joined with TEDxWilmington Women Conference organizer Ajit George to create the conference. They worked with students and faculty from both Ursuline and TeenSHARP, which preps students of color for college, to develop the event.
That committee of 34 students handled the TEDxYouth@Wilmington theme, logo, speaker recruitment, stage design and promotion.
TEDxYouth@Wilmington will be at Ursuline Academy from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 2. Eighteen speakers will offer 17 different TEDx talks. The speakers consist of student, alumni and faculty from Ursuline Acadamy, Mt. Pleasant High School, Tatnall, Delcastle Technical High School and Burlington Township High School.
Get tickets
Students 18 years or younger can get in for $20, while general admission is $30. There’s a VIP Package available for $100 that includes four tickets with reserved seats. All packages include lunch and refreshments.
