If you’re not going to SXSW, keep an eye on the calendar for at least one thing coming out of the Austin bonanza that will be appearing in Baltimore, too.
Nationwide groups TechUp and TechHire, which look to expand diverse tech talent, are launching the Tech Jobs Tour on Saturday, according to our sister site Technical.ly DC. It’ll stop in 50 cities this year, with the ambitious goal of filling 100,000 open tech jobs in 2017.
Among the leaders is Megan Smith, the nation’s former CTO. She made a couple of stops in Baltimore during her time in the Obama office, including for an announcement about new TechHire moves.
A kickoff for the tour is being held Saturday at SXSW. Details on the Baltimore stop haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll be sure to update you when it’s out.
