Through the Tech Industry Partnership, we at Technical.ly have spent this year listening to the needs of our community and chronicling the highs and lows in the tech industry. What has remained consistent is the desire to gain insight from one another. When we bring our community together, we’re able to swap tips, talk through pain points, and share wins that impact the entire city.

Since starting our quarterly Tech Industry Partnership meetings a year ago, we’ve heard directly from leaders in the industry on how the meetings have given them the opportunity to reflect, gain new systems, and connect to those who have similar lived experiences.

Does this all sound helpful? We’re looking to grow our Tech Industry Partnership and we want you to be a part of it.

The Tech Industry Partnership is a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce and Technical.ly, connecting the government to employers to ensure all stakeholders in Philadelphia’s thriving tech industry have a clear say in its future. It’s all part of Commerce’s broader Most Diverse Tech Hub initiative.

Join Technical.ly and Philadelphia’s Department of Commerce on Nov. 10 for our quarterly Tech Industry Partnership meeting. This event will take place ahead of 1Philadelphia’s Innovation Weekend Summit, and those who RSVP to the meeting will receive a special code that unlocks the entire day for free.

During this final Tech Industry Partnership meeting of the year, our in-person conversation will stem from topics that were shared by industry leaders and those who participated in our last meeting. We’ll receive Most Diverse Tech Hub partner updates from DiverseForce and get a look into the workforce development initiatives at Per Scholas.

Joining our Tech Industry Partnership means you’ll get access to:

  • Insight and data from Technical.ly’s Tech Economy Dashboard and our newsroom
  • A community of like-minded employers, workforce leaders and government representation
  • Our exclusive Slack channel where conversations will provide resources, new ideas and interesting reads. (P.S. We’re hosting a channel-only AMA with Nikki Pumphrey from Per Scholas on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at noon. Join us to pick the brain of one of our city’s workforce development leaders!)

If you’re interested in attending, please email debora@technical.ly and we’ll be sure to add you to our list.
