Getting to a workable idea is a big first step of the entrepreneurial process. But then comes the process of building and there are some key considerations before putting it to market. Namely, will it stand out in the market, and who are the people that will be interested in it?
Guiding social impact–focused entrepreneurs through that process of talking to customers and validating the market for a business will be the focus a weekend event next month run by SEED Spot.
This week, the organization opened applications for the first in a series of 2-Day Launch Camp events. It’s set to be held Sept. 12-13. Part of a partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton, the event will be held at the consulting giant’s innovation center on 15th St. in the District.
Through a curriculum, the sessions aim to help entrepreneurs validate ideas and formulate pitches, according to SEED Spot. The event concludes with a public-facing pitch event. They continue to get help from a mentor following the program, as well.
SEED SPOT, which initially expanded into D.C. in 2017, is planning additional fall bootcamps as well as a 2019 accelerator.
