Rodney Foxworth selected for social enterprise fellowship

A leader in the Baltimore social entrepreneurship space was selected for a North American fellowship focused on local economic impact.
Rodney Foxworth, who founded Invested Impact and is a cofounder of Impact Hub Baltimore, is one of 29 members of the latest Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) cohort. The 18-month program offers leadership and capacity-building training, as well as exposure to the organization’s wider network.
“My goal is to work with business leaders, donors, and grantmakers to creatively leverage their resources to support entrepreneurs of color and grassroots economic development efforts,” Foxworth told Technical.ly via email. “We’ve started that process with Ours To Own initiative in partnership with the Calvert Foundation and Humanim, but there’s much more work to be done.”
Introduced earlier this year, Ours To Own is designed to help people invest in community and economic development projects. The organization is currently conducting a Baltimore survey of small businesses.
