Space Bounce was built in eight weeks by four 8th graders from North Philly public school William Dick, under the mentorship of a team of RJMetrics developers, including Ben Garvey and cofounder Jake Stein. It was part of Spark Philadelphia, a dropout prevention program that partners with local businesses.
The game “uses a great javascript library for making HTML5 games called Phaser,” Garvey wrote on his blog.
This is RJMetrics’ fourth time working with Spark, he told us via email. He called Space Bounce “brutally difficult.”
