“Our Schools are Not For Sale,” a short documentary from the Media Mobilizing Project and the Alliance for Philadelphia Public Schools, takes you from the School Reform Commission meeting in March when officials decided to close 24 public schools to the walkout where thousands of students marched down Broad Street to protest budget cuts.
The documentary is punctuated by interviews with parents, students and teachers who are part of the Philadelphia public school system.
“Let the District hear our voices because they think that you don’t care, when people do,” said Philadelphia Student Union member Sharron Snyder.
