This free series aims to help Delaware single moms find financial empowerment

Every Wednesday in August, the Dover nonprofit NCALL will offer virtual workshops.

NCALL, a nonprofit affordable housing and community development organization based in Dover, is offering free virtual workshops through the month of August aimed at single mothers in Delaware.

Called “A New Vision — Financial Empowerment Workshops for Single Moms,” the weekly workshops will be held for one hour at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesdays this month.

Supported in part by Fund for Women at the Delaware Community Foundation, the interactive program aims to help single mothers reach their financial goals, with topics including:

  • Understanding credit
  • Preparing a budget
  • Couponing 101
  • Homeownership
