How to help children with mobility issues at #DIW17

GoBabyGo! has been described as “babies driving robots” — and that’s not an inaccurate description. But to get the real picture of why there is a need for such baby robots, watch this video:

GoBabyGo!’s mobility devices may look like toys, but they’re specially modified mobility devices for toddlers who are immobile for any reason, from developmental delays to physical conditions.
The global nonprofit is DIY focused, taking existing ride-on cars and turning them into mobility solutions using items that can be found at the hardware store.
NextFab will be partnering with the University of Delaware program for an informational Delaware Innovation Week program on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 3–5 p.m., including live demos, car modification, CNC machines in action and info on how you can help build cars for children in your community.
The event will take place at NextFab, 502 N. Tatnall St., Wilmington. You’ll also have an opportunity to tour the Nextfab facilities. The event is free.
