Remember Gillian and Dany? Gillian worked as a bench chemist and Dany worked as an HR executive. What do they have in common? They were both women who had careers in completely different industries but are now transitioning into web development.
Venturing into the uncertainty of a different field can be difficult, that’s why Girl Develop It Wilmington is organizing a panel to give women a chance to talk about their experiences.
The panel has an interesting lineup:
- Elizabeth Cottrell, a junior front-end developer that started her tech career early last year
- Aiyani Martin, an artist and former nonprofit professional who went through the Zip Code Wilmington bootcamp
- Joni Trythall, a designer and cofounder of Ela Conf
It will take place early next month at 1313 Innovation.
