Inspiring, educating and connecting women in technology, at a time when female entrepreneurs are underrepresented one-to-five among tech founders, is the urgent mission of the Women in Tech Summit, an event series hosting its Northeast summit April 13–14 at Old City’s Science History Museum.

“We have expanded to six regional summits this year,” said Gloria Bell, the event’s cofounder. “Philadelphia is the Northeast summit and we are drawing attendees from the whole region. We have also grown to two full days for the Northeast summit and will have over 500 women attending over those two days.”

In Philly, the summit features speakers from across the Delaware Valley, as well as New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Dallas and the West Coast.

“WITS has two primary goals,” said Bell, “to educate, inspire and connect women working in tech on both the technical and business sides, and to support the next generation of women in tech through our fundraising for TechGirlz. For all of our 2018 summits, we are expanding our mission to provide a wide variety of programming that really demonstrates our message that working in tech can be more than just writing code.”

The Philly event is already sold out but Technical.ly is here for you.

If you become a Technical.ly Member by Monday, April 9 at 1 p.m., you’ll be entered into a giveaway for three WITS tickets (valued at $179 each). We’ll select the three winners at random and notify you later that day.

Also, if you’re already a Technical.ly Member (thanks, btw!) email me, zack@technical.ly, to be entered into the drawing.

Good luck!
