Applications are open for Horn Entrepreneurship’s EntreX Lab Launch Grants, available to Delaware high schools for the 2021-2022 school year. Ten schools will be selected for the new program, which will provide students the opportunity to to take college-level entrepreneurship courses for transferable college credits. Grants grants cover educator professional development, curriculum licensing and full tuition scholarships for up to 20 students in the first year of the program, impacting about 200 students.

EntreX Lab (short for “Entrepreneurial Experience Laboratory”) is part of a commitment Horn made when it launched in 2012 with a youth initiative called Horn Youth, created to address the gaps in secondary entrepreneurship education. The initiative has since grown to be a global ecosystem of more than 10,000 alumni, 1,800 educators and 60 organizations, according to its website Horn’s high school-facing programs include The Diamond Challenge, which draws social innovators and young business entrepreneurs to compete from all over the world.

The EntreX Lab rollout comes after a two year pilot phase that included public, private and charter schools, including Caesar Rodney, Glasgow, Odyssey Charter, Ursuline Academy and William Penn.
