Delaware Technical Community College is hosting a morning entrepreneurial extravaganza on March 2 in Wilmington.
It’s called Career U — Opportunity and Entrepreneurship, and it starts at 7:30 a.m. with a 1 Million Cups session. 1 Million Cups is a national organization that holds small coffee meetings for entrepreneurs. In a session, business owners share problems, and the group talks about possible solutions and advice.
At 9 a.m., John Himics, cofounder of web development company First Ascent Design, will be Career U’s keynote speaker.
“There is a lot of hidden opportunity in Delaware, particularly in Wilmington,” Himics wrote on First Ascent’s blog. “I will be sharing a few anecdotes about my experiences as an entrepreneur, about the Wilmington business community, and advice on how to really pursue those opportunities.”
The event is free.
