Drexel merges programs to create College of Computing and Informatics

The creation of the school is the latest in a number of efforts on Drexel's part to emphasize technology and entrepreneurship.

Drexel University's iSchool (pictured) is going to be combined into the school's new College of Computing and Informatics.

Drexel University will merge three programs to create its new College of Computing and Informatics. The college aims to be a hub for fields like big data, cybersecurity and software development. It will begin enrolling students in Fall 2014, according to a release.
